Since enrolling in the School of Urban Missions I have had the privileged to attend Chapels. Well the other day we were blessed to have one of our fellow students pray over us, Pastor Hector. We have not known Pastor Hector that well just mostly a friendly hello here and there not really ever delving into personal things. Well as Pastor Hector was praying for me he spoke to me about ministering to Children. He said he saw me with lots of children gathering around me. He also told me that I need to not be so harsh on myself and that if God did not think I was adequate He would not have chosen me. As most know I have felt and still feel like I am not a great teacher and am lacking in boldness. I wish I was able to remember everything Pastor Hector said but I just can't but I know God spoke.
We also had the privilege of hearing Becky Correa speak during one of our Chapels just recently. The day before I had just taught my first Friends Club girls for our Wednesday service. As I was driving home that Wednesday night I was praying to God telling Him that why did he choose me? I felt as if it was a mistake or something because I didn't feel like I did well teaching. I also asked God to use me to speak His words and to not let me think it is about me. I wanted God to give me boldness to proclaim His truth. Well when Becky prayed for each of us she prayed over me and told me that God was giving me boldness and confidence. She said He is going to give me His words to speak and I won't be able to stop myself and I will not know where it is coming from. She also said my Rod of Faith is tall. Which went along with what she preached. She spoke about Moses' rod of faith God gave him.
God is amazing he can speak to everyone and anyone. If you want Him to speak to you in a real supernatural way pray! Prayer works. I know from experience.
